比较: We haven’t got big enough nails. We haven’t got enough big

enough to do sth.

Enough has been said about this subject.

Enough were present to constitute a quorum.

He has enough money to buy a car.

We have time enough to get to the airport.

I was fool [=foolish] enough to accept his offer.

She isn’t good enough for [=to pass] the exam.

I don’t know him well enough to ask him for help.

Is the river deep enough to swim in?

正:Is the river deep enough for swimming in?

误:Is the river deep enough that people can swim in?

Would you be kind enough to open the window? (=Would you

be so kind as to open the window?)
